A suspected Boko Haram/ISWAP terrorist was neutralised by troops of Operation Hadin Kai. The suspect had approached a military post in Borno State under suspicious circumstances.
According to military authorities, the incident took place at the 199 Special Forces Battalion’s Forward Operating Base, FOB, Chabbol, in the early hours of June 3.
Reportedly, at approximately 2:35 a.m., sentry staff noticed a person who could not be identified approaching the military site.
The Soldiers allegedly confronted the man and told him to stop so they could verify his identification and security.
Troops engaged the suspect in accordance with approved force protection protocols after he allegedly disregarded multiple warnings and persisted in approaching the military post.
The invader was confronted and neutralised by the sentries after refusing to comply with commands to stop, according to the sources.
