NSCDC achieves conviction of 4 oil pipeline vandals in Delta State

The Command of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), Delta State, has obtained the conviction of four alleged vandals of oil pipelines.

Justice Olubanjo of the Federal High Court, Asaba, convicted four accused, Sylvania Elvis, Peter Ojichini, Bala Idris Adey and Joel Bala Emmanuel, of conspiracy and tampering with oil pipelines, DSC Anthony Uchenna, CDPRO, Delta State Command, said in a statement.

Intelligence personnel of the NSCDC Delta State Command investigated the suspects. The judge, quoted in the release, said the prosecution established the essential parts of the allegations beyond reasonable doubt and found the suspects guilty of the offences.

On each count they were consequently convicted and punished.

The NSCDC Delta State Commandant, Chinedu F. Igbo cautioned offenders to refrain from all acts of vandalism, urging them to be law-abiding citizens.

He further recommended them to look for legal empowerment chances and to avoid the negative results of illicit actions.

He stated that the NSCDC Delta State Command will continue to do more in protecting the nation’s economic assets.
